Nevada is in a mountain region with semi-arid grasslands, alpine forests, and deserts. Average temperatures range from the mid tens (C) in the northeast to 15 in the west and central areas and the mid-20s in the south. Las Vegas’ public bus system, run by Citizens Area Transit, has buses running all day and night. The Trolley runs every 15 minutes from 9:30am–1:30am every day and reaches all the major hotels on The Strip. You can catch a taxi in front of any major hotel.
