We’ve booked the car rental , but when we get there there was no vehicle available . Unless we arre pay extra to get different car that we’ve booked.we refused and we end up taking a taxi that cost us $60 back to the airport to rent one from the airport office Karina and Fernando was helpful to help us . There’s have been a lot of issues with small rental companies we were told by different guests that they have been ripped off from these companies when customers showed up and have no choice. You have to do something if you want more customers. Just be honest .

Just too much chaos. Hot…no indoor seating, long line and too long to pick up and drop off reservations. 20-30 min at counter for them to process card then drop off to release hold on credit cards etc…CRAZY

Beware of the insurance issues. Even if you choose the Collision Damage waiver because your credit card covers it, they will absolutely charge an outrageous deposit if you don't buy there's. That's the deal in Mexico. It's a rip-off which will cost you an extra $20 a day that you won't be able to avoid.

Pick up and drop off we’re both stressful. They seemed to be very understaffed. They also tried to trick us into buying their insurance even though everything I read said it wasn’t legal and that if we had coverage elsewhere that would work. At drop off there was no one to help us and a long line of people waiting to return their cars.

Thieves. You should not be allowing them on your site. I knew a car rental wouldn’t be $15 like your advertisement but the dealer said it was about $100/day. Rushed me to sign off on “just a basic agreement “. Said gas was included (didn’t want that, too late) and I could return it empty. Reading contract for return, it said gas would be charged if I didn’t fill it up (I had to) and the price became $1,500+ for 9 days. Thieves! Thieves! Thieves!

This was one of the worst car rental places I’ve ever been to. Be aware that Mexican law requires you to have personal liability insurance. This is why the rental rates themselves appear so low but then when you arrive you are forced to take out an expensive insurance policy. In our case a five day rental was $60 but the insurance was over $300. Even though we have car insurance provided by our credit card, this was limited to CDW so we were forced to buy the rental Companies insurance policy. While this is not unique to Europcar the attitude of the staff was not friendly. Everyone in the agency was fighting the same fight. The return process can also be very slow. In our case there were not enough staff processing car returns so it took over 30 mins.

I reserved a minivan for our family of 6 traveling together. When we arrived at the Thrifty counter, they told me they didn’t have a minivan for me. I said I made a reservation, he told me that since I didn’t prepay for the rental(which I didn’t know was an option) they didn’t have one for me to rent. We then had to scramble and try to find new transportation to/from the airport to our hotel. I will never rent through this website or Thrifty again

I was very upset that Kayak advertised the rental as being $8. We reserved the car at this price, and arrived in Cancun to be surprised with a whopping amount of insurance fees which amounted to over $400. If we refused the insurance and used our credit card's insurance for the car, then we had to pay $1300.00 to the rental car company, which obviously made no sense. Absolutely infuriating to be surprised with this tremendous rate differencce, and found ourselves in a position of helplessness last minute. Would never rent again here.

They communicated clearly via email before we arrived. The rental was inexpensive. I used my Amex card for insurance and there was no pressure to buy more insurance. They simply placed the $2500 hold on my card. The car ran fine and we had a great trip! We took lots of pictures when we picked the car up and had no problems with the drop off.

Dodge SUV was a very comfortable car for a 6,000km trip across the Mexican Sierras. Modern technologies in a nice package. Insurance a bit pricey but overall worthy experience. Staff was friendly despite huge traffic and many customers.

Renting in Mexico is a nightmare. When I declined their “optional” insurance, they put a &2,200 hold on my credit card. In order for them to remove the hold on my credit card I was forced to take the insurance. Credit card holds are typically $250. Hertz Mexico has lost their minds. When I told them to just keep the rental and I would find transportation, he then told me I would have to pay at least one day because he had written the contract. Absolutely terrible service!

It felt like they scammed me with a rental that went from $124CAD to $376. I only included liability insurance and 2 carseats for 2 days what I was quoted ahead of time by Dollar, $238 plus $60 total for the seats. But they don't tell you on the website that there is a 29.5% fees added to that(I assumed maybe 10%), the car seats were out of date, and we never got the car we wanted. We got a beat up Suzuki instead of a Jeep. The problem is after a long flight with 2 small kids and a 2 hr line up at the rental, you'll sign anything to get going.

The price shown when I made the reservation wasn't the one I had once I got there. They charged me a "mandatory" insurance although I already had one with my credit card. It doubled the original price. I won't come back anymore, really poor experience. Also, it was impossible to find the counter, there was no one there at first. Hopefully a lady helped me and said that Hertz and Dollar are basically the same.

Honestly, I didn't know renting an SUV would cost about 1200 upfront 400 would come back to me but I didn't account for that cost so we went with the full-size car for 500 with 150 coming back all this to say read your rental agreement it doesn't say anything about insurance which feels like a rip-off but you must have it so when your planning just account for this charge to be $90/$75/$55

Be careful with renting from Dollar/Hertz, they tried to charge me for unnecessary fees, taxes and insurance, the price doubled from the reserved agreed up amount. At that point it was cheaper to get taxis so we walked away.

The vehicles are not serviced regularly. I was given a Chevy sedan with a broken clutch. When I complained they told me I could only get an automatic vehicle if I paid extra. The location is terrible. Will never rent a car here ever again.

Everything about Enterprise is great as long as you don't mind they are not located at the airport but just a bit north of the airport along the main highway.

I had a seemingly very good deal for a Jetta including the mandatory liability insurance, but it turned out when picking up the car that the included insurance only covered the car up to 75,000 MXN and the coverage needs to be 2,500,000 MXN so that raised the rates by $10 per day and then I also had to pay an extra $30 for an extra day although my pickup date/time and return date/time were basically what I originally entered into Expedia. I'm positive that all the agencies are playing these monetary shell games so the only distinguishing factor across agencies is the level of service and how picky they are about the condition of the car when returned.

I accidentally booked a manual transmission, and at the counter the man switched us to an automatic brand new car. Their airport shuttle was ready and waiting both times, they were friendly and very helpful. I didn't feel bamboozled by the insurance situation. It was breezy renting from this Enterprise. Would totally rent from them again.

Insurance is 3x the cost of the car rental. No E Plus points. No ability to make a reservation using E Plus points. This place licenses the Enterpprise brand - as do many non-USA locations.

Convenient and decent price (though not cheap) from a reputable brand. People at site are helpful. Oscar was good. Word of caution: check your vehicle VERY carefully for damage before accepting the car and take pictures. They may claim you damaged the car and try to withhold your deposit if they think you damaged the car.

price indicated by kayak/national 1290,87€ is completely wrong / misleading as it does not include the minimum MANDATORY insurance !!! (+/- 400€, only covering third party responsibility !!!) in total I paid 1795€ (+40%) without any proper insurance. for a "full" insurance, they requested another +/- 850€ that I was not willing to pay This is "organized theft" as when your are at the National rental office, 10 minutes in shuttle away from the Cancun Airport, you have no choice anymore... I fully understand that options are not included in the price quoted online but not the mandatory insurance. I will use other providers in the future.

They sold the car before we got there, so the reservation was pointless. The customs took 1.5 hours which they claimed caused them to believe we didn't want the car. We had to walk the line and pay twice as much for a car.
