Charged me an extra $60 for them to fill the car with gas when I returned it full. Confirmed full by attendant on return, and listed as full on the receipt. Had to make two phone calls to get it corrected

Tried to book rental car through Kayak. Quoted a price of $151. AFTER confirmation, at payment, charged $258. Cancelled and charged $50 cancellation fee by Avis. Absurd and should be criminal business practices. Proceed with caution.

We arrived to the counter to learn that there were no more cars available. At all. We waited forever and finally got a completely different car than we ordered: a gas-guzzling SUV instead of a midsized sedan that we ordered. Not ideal for a huge road trip. The car was very clean but quite dinged up. Everything was WAY more expensive than advertised. Overall I’m super disappointed with Budget. What a misnomer if a business name.

I had to change my reservation because I did it with a virtual card thru my affirm account and didn’t have a physical card. I I was informed that before the transaction I would have maybe not done it that way. A waste of time and was on hold to change the reservation with hertz for an 45 minutes. The rep at the location couldn’t update the credit card information so I had to call. Just a waste of time and energy!

Staff was friendly and helpful

The car sounded horrible while driving. It made lots of noise and it would randomly decide not to drive after being stopped. For example, stopping at a stop sign. The car wouldn’t moved for about 10 seconds. The same goes for stopping at red lights.

My flight was delayed, and I arrived at the dollar counter, just after they had closed. There was a lady still behind the counter, who informed me that because I had not arrived within two hours of the predetermined time they had rented my vehicle to someone else. How is this practice even legal being that I had already paid for it? I was forced to take rideshare to my destination and then back again the next day at an expense of more than $120. I am quite sure that I had pre-purchased insurance but dollar could not confirm this so I paid for insurance that I didn’t need , my total charge at the counter was an additional $124.22. The type of vehicle I had requested was not available so I had to settle for what they had. There were four shirts laying on the back seat, so I find it difficult to believe the vehicle had been cleaned , I think that the previous customer had just left it clean. Please let me know how to get a refund.
