Pros: It was a newer model of the plane that I flew out with and it showed. Excellent interior, food was better than the previous flight. Very comfortable and functional for each individual . Crew were fantastic in there dealings with the passengers Overall a very pleasant experience
Cons: The inflight entertainment was not as good as I expected. To the extent there wasn’t anything that I wanted to watch as I’d seen the only 2 films that I wanted to watch in my previous long haul leg. TV series were severely lacking in choice as was the latest movies.

At the present moment the cheapest month to fly to Haneda is currently September; with April being the most expensive. Prices will vary depending on multiple factors such as booking in advance, airline and departure airports and times.
Haneda Airport (HND) in Tokyo, Japan, is also known as Tokyo International Airport and is one of Tokyo’s two major international airports. You can fly from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Haneda (HND) via Singapore (SIN) in 10-12h. There are also flights from Penang International Airport (PEN) but they are decidedly longer, pricier, and include two stopovers, so your best bet would be to head to Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and fly from there. At Cheapflights, we can help you find flight deals to Haneda (HND).
Unfortunately, there are no direct flights between Malaysia and Haneda (HND), but after a quick flight to Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN) (1h 10min), you can fly directly to Haneda (HND) in 6h 55min. In 2020, Skytrax, the international organisation for rating air transport, rated Changi Airport (SIN) as the World's Cleanest and Best Domestic Airport, and Haneda (HND) came in 2nd, so you’re in for a pleasant journey.
From Haneda Airport (HND) to Tokyo centre, you have four transport options. The most economical option is the Keikyu Railway train. In 13min and for about RM 16, you will arrive at central Shinagawa Station. The second most economical option at around RM 19 is the Tokyo Monorail, departing from Terminals 1 and 2 every five minutes and taking 13min to get to central Hamamatsucho Station. From there, you can jump on the Yamanote line to get to many other stops in Tokyo. A taxi is incredibly convenient and will get you door-to-door in about 30min but will set you back roughly RM 214. There is also the Limousine bus but that is the slowest option and the second priciest, so not recommended.
Omoide Yokocho, in the Shinjuku area, is a lively lane lined with street-front mini restaurants offering yakitori. If you want a real local experience, opt for omakase - the Japanese tradition of allowing the chef to choose your menu and surprise you. Oedo Antique Market offers unique treasures that you’ll be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in Tokyo. Pick up some kokeshi dolls and other vintage items every first and third Sunday of the month. Shibuya Crossing, commonly referred to as the ‘Shibuya scramble’, is the busiest crossroads in the world with traffic coming to a halt every 80 seconds to allow 1000-3000 people to cross at a time. There is even a pedestrian skybridge to give you a panoramic view of the scene. Passing under the huge red lantern hanging from the Kaminari-mon (Thunder Gate) in Asakusa, you will come upon the shopping street, Nakamise-dōri, leading to Senso-ji - the most popular temple in Tokyo. Be sure to pass by the giant cauldron to be doused in the incense it emits to give good health. Finally, a stop at the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden will find you in 144 acres of green where you’ll experience everything from subdued English gardens to curated Japanese landscapes.
If you are a Malaysian national and hold a biometric passport, you do not need a visa to visit Japan for a period of 90 days or less for tourism. If your passport is the older style without the biometric chip, you will still need to apply for an eVisa online but the process is quick and easy.
