The best car rental highly recommended

The car I was looking for wasn’t available. However, the representative did a great job finding me another option.

The options of vehicles could have been better,yet overall,it was a good rental experience.

I never picked up the vehicle. They said I had to give them a major credit card in order to rent and that wasn't stated anywhere when I made the reservation, so I ended up not renting the vehicle. What a waste of time!

It was super easy to find the car and the staff were very helpful with explaining all the information and helping with my questions

Francisco was genuinely the most helpful person, and went out of his way to make a very difficult situation easier. He even helped me with a phone charger after my phone died and offered to let me sit in the office to make phone calls.

It was good, the tire pressure light was on when we picked up the car and that made us nervous the tire would go flat. And then on the hottest day the computers dashboard wouldn’t work and we couldn’t turn the radio or AC on when driving around.

The staff at the Portland SIXT rental counter have been the same for years. The same ladies. This consistency screams quality. If employees want to stay with a company long term it makes me as the customer want to stay loyal. I enjoy every aspect of my experience with SIXT Portland.

Very nice employees

There was very little to like. After getting to the rental car place 2 hours late due to my flight taking off late, I had to wait at least 40 minutes to get to the counter, even though there were only 4 people in front of me. I have NEVER seen anything take so long to process. There were 3 employees when I got there, but one by one they would disappear until there was just one left, who actually disappeared for a while, too. I have no idea where they went & why they left. Finally, another person came out to help, but she was the most surly person that I have ever dealt with in customer service. The other employee made NO effort to hurry up & seemed to be just chit chatting with a customer for over 30 minutes, even though the line was getting longer & longer. Then when I finally got to the counter & processed, I was told that it was going to be 40 minutes to get my car--40 MINUTES??!!! What on earth took so long? They told me that they needed to wash the car. It really takes 40 minutes to wash the car?! There were so many people waiting for their car when I got to the garage. I was told it would be in Row E, but when they finally brought it, it was in Row F, & they didn't bother to tell me that they brought it up, so I didn't notice it there. I finally found someone to ask (another problem--there is no one around to talk to about problems), & she found it in Row F but then another woman came up & said she was told to take the same car (even though I had documentation that had the license plate number for that car), so not sure how that happened. Finally after about 2 hours I got my car & got out of that rental car hell! I can't believe that there isn't a more streamlined way to get cars to people who have been flying most of the day & in a different time zone that just want to eat dinner & go to bed. I am a VERY dissatisfied customer!!!

Excellent

First car had smokey smell, but there was no problem switching to another one. The other car had a paint scrape on the front bumper and various dings all around, but it was clean and comfortable inside. They were happy to notate all the dings for my peace of mind.

Interior of the car had discarded trash. Car was returned on time but in examining the bill I was charged a $600 late fee. Called Budget and they said they would send me a credit to my credit card.

The car was very dirty on the outside and smelled like cigarette smoke on the inside 😡

The gentleman working the counter super late because of flight delays at the Sanford Florida location was outstanding.

Car was clean and what I asked for. On the other hand the lady at the rental car place in cape canaveral was not pleasant. She had an attitude for no reason and no personality.

I booked a car when I arrived to pick up car , your employee said that there weren’t any cars to rent , I asked about the 39$ that was taken already from my bank account for insurance he said it wasn’t his problem call corporate, two days later I was charged 53.99 for the car rental which I didn’t get, still haven’t been refunded either charge

Pickup was almost comically bad. There were long lines, with only 3-4 people working. One left in the middle of the long line, and came back to tell us to go downstairs to the parking lot where they could help us with no line. We went downstairs, to an booth with 2 windows, and the first window staff member said he can't help us, and pawned us off on to the second window. The second window had problems getting us set up and left the booth to check the car finally while the line became longer and longer downstairs with others who were sent there as well. Dropoff was smooth , convenient and very efficient. I don't understand why pickup can't be the same.

The vehicle kept flashing service overdue warning on dash board shortly after pickup. The steering wheel had a strange vibration that felt like hitting a small road bump often. The car fueling was only 75 percent full

Even after refusing add-ons repeatedly, they msnaged to added a few dollars for the toll transponder

The customer service rep (Tariq) that helped me pick up the car was sneaky trying to scam me. He was saying that we can get an upgrade without mentioning an up charge; thank goodness I asked. He hassled us to see proof of insurance. And the fee to hold he put $500 when I heard his colleague charge another customer $250. I feel like I can’t trust Payless associates.

They ran out of cars and only rented on as one return after 2 hours of waiting went to another vendor

Payless hit me with a bait-and-switch regarding my rental vehicle. My reservation was for a COMPACT SUV - clearly and plainly. As stated here, from the reservation email: Your car rental details Confirmation number: 21080411US2 Pick-up location Payless 3355 Admiral Boland Way San Diego, CA 92101 Vehicle type: Compact SUV Hyundai Venue Upon arrival at the rental counter in San Diego after a long day of cross-continental travel (BTV-IAD-SAN) a Payless staffer informed me that my reservation had potentially been "cancelled" due to my arriving later in the day thanks to flight delays imposed by United Airlines, and that I needed to go upstairs and speak with a manager. Upon speaking with the manager, Jasmin, I was told that my reservation was NOT actually for a Compact SUV but for only an economy vehicle, despite me showing her what my reservation stated. After a significant delay, I was presented with the smallest car on the lot, a Mitsubishi Mirage that ranks as possibly the smallest and most basic vehicle any car rental company has ever sold me. I was told this was my only option, despite the documentation I showed. Not a good experience!
