Quickness and ease of picking up and dropping off vehicle. Vehicle was clean and very new.

They did not honor my reservation

For people not from the area you need to either be clearer or have transport to your other Peoria location. I had to pay a cab over $70 from the airport to the other location downtown Peoria. Airport had no cars. Your agent handed me a handwritten note with cab numbers on it. Not very professional or trustworthy. I called s number and 30 minutes later got a large elderly sick man with a bad cough in a smelly, dirty van. Got to your other location and had to wait for almost an hour while one girl was taking care of a long line of other customers. The line was from the desk to the door. Car was fine.

I never picked up the vehicle. They said I had to give them a major credit card in order to rent and that wasn't stated anywhere when I made the reservation, so I ended up not renting the vehicle. What a waste of time!

It was super easy to find the car and the staff were very helpful with explaining all the information and helping with my questions

The updates at the counter isn’t fun and they need a better policy for wives/partners driving

There was very little to like. After getting to the rental car place 2 hours late due to my flight taking off late, I had to wait at least 40 minutes to get to the counter, even though there were only 4 people in front of me. I have NEVER seen anything take so long to process. There were 3 employees when I got there, but one by one they would disappear until there was just one left, who actually disappeared for a while, too. I have no idea where they went & why they left. Finally, another person came out to help, but she was the most surly person that I have ever dealt with in customer service. The other employee made NO effort to hurry up & seemed to be just chit chatting with a customer for over 30 minutes, even though the line was getting longer & longer. Then when I finally got to the counter & processed, I was told that it was going to be 40 minutes to get my car--40 MINUTES??!!! What on earth took so long? They told me that they needed to wash the car. It really takes 40 minutes to wash the car?! There were so many people waiting for their car when I got to the garage. I was told it would be in Row E, but when they finally brought it, it was in Row F, & they didn't bother to tell me that they brought it up, so I didn't notice it there. I finally found someone to ask (another problem--there is no one around to talk to about problems), & she found it in Row F but then another woman came up & said she was told to take the same car (even though I had documentation that had the license plate number for that car), so not sure how that happened. Finally after about 2 hours I got my car & got out of that rental car hell! I can't believe that there isn't a more streamlined way to get cars to people who have been flying most of the day & in a different time zone that just want to eat dinner & go to bed. I am a VERY dissatisfied customer!!!

First car had smokey smell, but there was no problem switching to another one. The other car had a paint scrape on the front bumper and various dings all around, but it was clean and comfortable inside. They were happy to notate all the dings for my peace of mind.

Interior of the car had discarded trash. Car was returned on time but in examining the bill I was charged a $600 late fee. Called Budget and they said they would send me a credit to my credit card.

The woman at the pickup counter in Portland was absolutely the wrong person for customer service. She was very, very pushy and upset that we would not give her our phone to work on when she 'didn't know how to unlock her computer'. She got more and more aggressive. We tried to explain that the phone is a secure work phone and that her computer not working was not our fault. She even reached over and started touching my phone. Nope. We had paid for an upgraded car, but she said she didn't see that upgrade. We showed her the receipt, but she refused the upgrade. It was a total mess. The car was clean and worked great. Still I would hesitate to rent from the Portland Hertz again. (She did not have a name tag on.)

The gentleman working the counter super late because of flight delays at the Sanford Florida location was outstanding.

Car was clean and what I asked for. On the other hand the lady at the rental car place in cape canaveral was not pleasant. She had an attitude for no reason and no personality.

They denied my reservation. Rep (rudely) told me they were Sold Out, that they don’t honor same-day online reservations.

I was charged 5x the quoted rate for the same vehicle and less time using the same vehicle I booked. I was overcharged and the staff and manager refused to reimburse me.

Th only suggestion I would recommend is having a drop box inside for the key. I waited in line 15-20 minutes and finally someone asked if I was returning a vehicle. Then they said oh you can just give me the key. It would be helpful to have a drop box for returning customers who purchase full insurance. As well as noting the receipt will be emailed afterwards. Overall great experience.

horrible customer service. I was standing in line for 1.5 hours. they had so many cars in parking lot that matched my criteria/class of vehicle but yet they decided to make me wait so that they can give me a car which was recently returned. they kept cleaning the car instead of giving me ready car. I was with my infant and it just make start of my trip terrible. never renting again

Make sure you know the exact time for pick up and drop off or they either cancel your reservation or charge you a lot more for a different available vehicle.

Pick up was hard, staff hardly listened. Car was super dirty. Food and trash left in the car. Car seats were sticky. No one around for help. Drop off someone said thanks for renting then left as I tried to talk to them.
